How to create a newsletter

To create a newsletter, you will need to go to the Newsletters on the land-hand
menu and then select Add New.

Newsletter Setup

  • Title: add the title of the newsletter, e.g. May 2020 Newsletter.
  • Introduction: This is where you put the body of the text.
  • Category (Audience): these are the areas of interest that your subscribers
    would have requested to send the newsletter to. You can tick all, one or several
    and the newsletter will be sent to those groups.
  • Test Email: if selected a test email of your newsletter will be sent when
    published.
  • Test Email Address: The email address you want to receive your test newsletter.
  • Newsletter sent: this will be marked once the newsletter has been sent out.

Newsletter Layouts

  • Featured Post: Select one post to appear as a featured post (this is optional).
  • Featured Image: Upload an image that will be featured in your newsletter (this is optional).
  • Select posts to show: you can choose which posts you would like to send out in your Newsletter.
  • Select the post name under Search this will transfer across under the Select taxonomy box.
  • News Posts Horizontal: This will display your news articles horizontally in columns of 3.
  • Select Taxonomy (classification) choose from the drop-down Under Category or Tag.
