      Using the Administrator Event search in the LMS

      This guide provides detailed steps for using the Administrator Event search in the LMS to streamline course management. By following the steps, users can efficiently filter and locate specific events.

      We have two searches Core and Advance:

      • Core search is a quick search which starts working as you type into the Search courses field.
      • Advanced search allows you to filter results on a number of areas including Venue, Cancelled, Archived, Category, Contract and others.
      The Core Search and Advance Search are available from both the Occurrence and Event view. In this example, we are looking at Occurrence View. Click into the Search courses field.

      Type in safety. The results will be shown straight away as you type and the list is reduced to two items.

      To use the more powerful Advanced search, click on the Show Advanced Search option.

      If you want to return to the Core Search simply click on Hide Advanced Search.

      When using the Advanced search you can use any combination of the available filters. For example, let's start with the Location. Click in the Location field.

      A list of available locations will be displayed click on Castle Hall.

      Then click on the Search button. Your results for this location will be displayed.

      To add to this, you might want to add a category. Click into the Categories field.

      A list of categories which have been associated with Events will be displayed. Click on Safeguarding Level > Level 1.

      Then click on the Search button.

      Your results are now filtered on a location and a category. We can filter further by choosing Online/Face to Face.

      When I chose the Face to Face option I then got no results. This is because I had the Castle Hall a physical location selected, so using Online/Face to Face did not help.

      You can also use the Advanced search to filter on other areas.

       Occurrence Cancelled Status this can filter out, or include Cancelled events.

      Archived: This can include, exclude or only search for Archived Events.

      View: Allows you to search for Events, eLearning or Both.
