How to create New/Copy Evaluations

Our evaluation feature enables you to analyse a training event. It allows you to measure its effectiveness and to gauge the quality of training. Evaluations are located on the tab on the left-hand side navigation menu. This is where you can manage your course Evaluations. This article will help you to assist how to create an evaluation.

Before you create an evaluation you need to have set up your Post Event Questions click here to be able to create this.

Create a new evaluation

Select Add Evaluation (New).

  • Applicable Event: pick the relevant event you want this Evaluation to apply to from the drop-down menu.
  • Delegate Feedback Sample Selection %: Pick the percentage number of people you want to complete the Evaluation, e.g. if 100 people attended the event but you only require feedback from 75 of them, you would select 75%.
  • Stop Delegate Activity Until Completion:
    • Select Yes if you would like the delegate to not be able to book on to any other events or courses until they have completed the required Evaluation.
    • Select No if you do not want to put this restriction in place

Pre-Booking: Select Yes if you would like the delegates to complete an enter the description of the Pre-Booking Evaluation in the description box below, giving delegates an overview of the Evaluation.

E.g. you may want to do this to see what their knowledge is prior to the event or course.

Alternatively, you may want to see what they are expecting to achieve from the course.

Select No if you don't want the delegates to complete a Pre-Booking Evaluation and leave the description box empty.

Post Event : This is automatically carried out to ensure that some data is captured after the delegate completes the event or course. This will be sent to the delegates immediately after they have completed. Enter the description of the Post Event Evaluation in the description box.

Post Event Stage Two: This is a second Evaluation that gets sent out after the delegates have completed the course. It can be used to see if they have retained the information if they have had a chance to put it into practice yet or to get any other feedback they may have now that more time has passed.

Use the Notification Duration (days) drop-down menu to select the number of days after the previous Evaluation was completed that they should complete this one, e.g. if you wanted them to complete a second Evaluation three months after the event, you would select 90 days.

Use the Yes or No buttons to select whether you would like to have this Evaluation for this specific event, then complete the description box if you select Yes.

Post Event Stage Three: Similarly, to Post Event Stage Three, this is the third Evaluation to be sent out after the event takes place, e.g. you might want to gather more information from the delegates 6 months after the event.

 

The Notification Duration (days) is the number of days after the previous Evaluation that you want this one to be sent out, e.g. if you sent out a Post Event Stage Two Evaluation at three months and want to send a Post Event Stage Three Evaluation at six months, you would select 90 days as the Notification Duration (three months after the previous Evaluation). Use the Yes or No buttons to select whether you would like to have this Evaluation for this specific event, then complete the description box if you select Yes.

Line Manager Stage: This is for if you would like to email the delegates Line Manager an Evaluation to complete after the event, e.g. you could do this to find out if any of the practices taught have been put into effect or there has been any notable difference in their work since the event or course. The Notification Duration (days) is the number of days after the previous Evaluation that you want this one to be sent out. Use the Yes or No buttons to select whether you would like to have this Evaluation for this specific event, then complete the description box if you select Yes. Once you have completed all these fields, press the Add Evaluation (New) button at the bottom of the box.

Copy across an Evaluation

Add Evaluation (Copy) allows you to copy a previously created Evaluation.

  • Select Add Evaluation (Copy)
    • A box will appear with two drop-down menus:
    • Copy from Event: select which events Evaluation you wish to copy, from.
    • Applicable Event selects the event that you want to apply this new Evaluation to.

Once you have made your selections, click the Add Evaluation (Copy) button to save your new Evaluation. It will then appear in the table below. You can go into the Evaluation and edit it using the Edit button at any time.
